My door needed a little spring touch so I decided to go with a super colorful pop with this tulip wreath. It was super fun and easy to make (see below for details)! Supplies: Faux tulips - I got mine on sale at Michaels but you can get them on Amazon. I used about 5 bunches of pink and 1 bunch of white tulips. Wreath Form - I had one of these on hand. You can also get these at Michaels or on Amazon Wire cutters Instructions: Clip the tulips from the bunch with the wire cutter
Wintery food sometimes feels a little heavy to me, especially when my go-to meals are spaghetti and chili! In light of that, I decided to try this quinoa salad recipe and mix things up a bit. Warning - it makes a ton so if I do it again, I'll probably cut the recipe in half. It's also pretty bland so I added Colin Cowie's vinaigrette (recipe below) to give the salad a little more flavor. My mom made this dressing a lot while I was growing up and now it's a staple in our home
Caitlin and I photographed a beautiful wedding in New Orleans and we decided to make it into a long weekend so we could explore the city for a couple of days! It was a quick trip but we hit some fun spots and ate some delicious food! Here's a quick recap of our long weekend in NOLA! It's mainly food-related...are you surprised? We spent some time strolling in and out of the shops on Magazine Street and doing a little bit of Christmas shopping. So many cute places to see here!
